Originally born in Salt Lake City, Utah to a family of 9. When Josh was a teenager he moved to the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas and when asked, he considers it as his hometown. Josh currently studies at Brigham Young University Idaho and expects to graduate in the year 2021 with a degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Hoping to make a difference in the world, Josh plans to end up finding a career in which he can do business consulting and improve employer and employee relations and the balance between home and work life for many businesses.
From a young age Josh was always interested in music and its effect on his family. Sharing a strong bond with his parents and siblings he chose to sing in choir in High School for all four years of his experience there, whether it was in the varsity choirs or on stage in musicals. Ever since then he has strived to keep it an active part of his life. In his first semester at BYUI Josh participated in BYUI’s Concert Choir where he met David Torres. David invited him to come sing with his personal choir, it was there that Josh realized the special spirit that comes with performing under such a great director. This ensemble has become a home and place of service. Where voices come together to Praise God, and to share his peace with the world. The spirit of service is very apparent any time this group performs.
When he is not singing, Josh likes to enjoy his time with his friends and is “down for an adventure” always. He enjoys playing the piano, country dancing, and teaching at his University. Put simply Josh is very free spirited in his endeavors and loves to try new things. He hopes you enjoy the music that comes from this great ensemble and if anything that you can feel the Lord’s hand no matter where you are in the world as you listen in.
